Dear Church Family,
This past month has been a mini-series of life itself. There has been great joy and great sorrow. We have experienced joy seeing people place their faith in Jesus, getting baptized and joining our church family. We have experienced the pains of striving for unity as we become the people God wants us to be. Many have begun a new school year, a new season, a new job, a new relationship. We experienced sorrow as we listened to Bob announce that God was prompting them to move to Florida at the end of the year. We are truly grateful for how God has blessed our church through Bob and Nanette over the past 12 years! Many of you will want to show your appreciation to Bob and Nanette. There will be opportunities for you to do that individually and we will plan a time for us as a church family to corporately show our appreciation as the time of Bob departure nears. Life is filled with constant change and it is reassuring that in spite of the change God never changes. Yet, even in the midst of change, we must not retreat from living out God’s mission of love and redemption. At the end of one of his poems, Alfred Lord Tennyson said...
I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.
Love is the best investment. We are thankful for the investment of love by Bob and Nanette.
In Christ,
Pastor Ron Jones
